1940s Paden City Pottery Flower Motif Serving Tray | Made in West Virginia

1940s Paden City Pottery Flower Motif Serving Tray | Made in West Virginia

$30.00

The cutest little tray with transferware flowers in red, blue and yellow, with a hand painted red rim and design on the handle-edges. Made by Paden City Pottery some time in the 1940s, or as late as very early 1950s (the business closed in 1953). Other listings (only 3) of items in this pattern state it’s made by a nearby Steubenville Pottery, so it’s possible Steubenville continued to make this pattern after Paden City closed, though Steubenville also shuttered in the 1950s, in 1959. Which would make this piece more precious, and older iteration. There is crazing throughout and one tiny chip that looks quite old on the left handle-side. Tray measures 9.5” wide, and 6” across. A perfectly little dresser tray for jewelry.
