This fluted, frilled rim pedestal vase beckoned to me yesterday on the shelf. She was DIRTY. But I saw that glow of opaline blue and it needed to come with me. She cleaned up very nicely, especially after I employed a coyote rib bone with a wet paper towel to get out the dirt around the bulb inside!

But imagine my joy when I realized after cleaning that this vase is beautifully hand-blown. It’s in perfect condition, too. Vases like this were made in France or Italy, and unfortunately, there’s no maker mark, and I couldn’t find a single other piece that looked just like this. So my educated guess is all I have. Vase measures 8.5” x 3.5”.
